Our next meeting will take place on:

At:

Barmer  Ersatzkasse

Mecumstraße 10

BARMER was founded in 1884. Today it is one of Germany’s largest health insurance funds.

There are 7 Million members nationwide with over 110,000 in Düsseldorf.

In Germany Barmer have 1,000 offices and 17,000 employees, 250 of these employees being in and around Düsseldorf and Kreis Mettmann.

The three key pillars of Barmer’s philosophy are: providing good care cost-effectively, reducing administration and providing expert advice. Barmer considers itself as an innovative care specialist in the health sector.

Information concerning Barmers local participation in sport and all other fields can be found on their website.

As well as having our normal monthly meeting, Barmer has given us the opportunity to also bring in an Artist to exhibit their work so the evening will have twice as much to offer the members and guests.

Wolfgang Wimhofer (Artwim) the Düsseldorf painter will be presenting some of his "Dropmen", you will not only be able to see these paintings close up but also have a chance to chat with the artist concerning his work.

Wolfgang is influenced by the work of beuys and Kuhne studies and work is all around Düsseldorf for all to see. Internationally exhibited, Wolfgang is one of Düsseldorf’s better known artists.

Details and slide shows of his other works can be found on his website.

If you're coming by public transport:

Two ways to come: take the 701 or 711 to Färberstraße you then walk south down Erasmusstraße which becomes Mecumstraße, it’s just a few minutes walk. Or, you can take the 706 or 707 to Karolingerplatz. Walk north a few metres and turn right into Feuerbachstraße and then turn right into Mecumstraße. You’ll see the building from a distance, it’s very easy to find.

If your coming by car:

Head for Bilk, If you’re coming from the south, get on the Südring and exit at Kopernikusstraße,straight on into Auf’m Hennekamp and then left into Mecumstraße, you’ll see the building on the right.

If you’re coming from the city centre, it’s straight down the Corneliusstraße which becomes Erasmusstraße which becomes Mecumstraße. You’ll see Barmer on the left.

There is parking in the building itself, and security will be organised and directions from the park deck to the meeting room will pinned up so you will have no problems finding a space.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
